Greater NYC Affiliate, Susan G. Komen for the Cure
Communications consultant

The Greater NYC Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure is #1 in fundraising of 125 Komen affiliates worldwide. Its vision — a world without breast cancer. LJY has written Affiliate website copy, special events materials and scripts, media releases, newsletters and brochures.  She has also served as liaison to graphic designers, photographers, printers and mailing houses. For several year, LJY project managed and wrote Komen Greater NYC's new interactive sponsorship brochure.

Artisan Bread School
Marketing/outreach

Artisan Bread School (ABS) offers classes in bread making in rural Tuscany, the US and Europe. In addition to editing copy for the ABS website and communications and outreach, LJY has helped book numerous US venues for ABS classes, most recently for a workshop at the NYC Italian food emporium, Eataly ( April 2011). LJY media releases resulted in numerous placements, including the New York Times Travel Section, “Comings & Goings” column (November 18, 2007)
